Check Out Last Years!

Message from the Hon. Lana Popham
Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport

On behalf of Premier David Eby and the Government of British Columbia, welcome to
the Vancouver Short Film Festival’s VSFF@Home Online Event Series.

Our government wants to ensure our domestic film sector can thrive and ensure B.C.
stories reach the global stage. The Vancouver Short Film Festival is a pillar event for
emerging Canadian talent and each year, it features several amazing projects from B.C.
artists and beyond. These projects showcase our diversity and have the power to initiate
important conversations in our communities. As a celebration of the B.C. and national
film sector more broadly, the VSFF@Home Online Event Series enables creators of short films,
animation, and documentaries to connect and create key relationships within the industry, and to showcase
their accomplishments with their peers. We hope that this program will inspire others to continue to grow
and share their art and to reach for larger audiences.
We are fortunate to have a wealth of creative talent in B.C., and our government is pleased to support the
Vancouver Short Film Festival through Creative BC.

Congratulations to those who will be featured this
year, and thank you to the organizers and volunteers for making this year’s event another success.
Sincerely,

Hon. Lana Popham,
Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport
