[FILLED] Seeking: Box Office Coordinator

Hey short film fans! We're actively seeking a Box Office Coordinator to join our team for our 2018 season. As box office coordinator, you will have the chance to liaise with filmmakers and film fans alike during our 2-day event and will be involved with a festival that aims to support and grow local BC talent!

Duration: January 2017 Time commitment: 2-3 hours per week with more time required towards festival time. They are required to be present for the duration of the festival, Friday January 26th to Saturday January 27th.

Duties:

  • Creating and updating VIP ticket spreadsheet

  • Liaise with the Festival Director for guidance, and attending staff meetings as required.

  • Facilitating/tracking ticket sales including overseeing the Will Call table

  • Communicate with the Volunteer Coordinator regarding the volunteers needed for front of house as well as other ad hoc duties.

  • Manage the ticket sales and make sure screenings are not oversold

  • Work with filmmakers to make sure everyone has the necessary comped tickets

  • Create the ticket sales page and manage and track online payments.

  • Create a final sales report that tracks all attendance and ticket sales

Qualifications:

  • Are passionate about film and the arts community in BC, and attend film festivals on a regular basis.

  • Are comfortable in a leadership role

  • Are organized and have good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Are comfortable with handling money and onsite queries with exceptional customer service skills.

  • Ability to multitask.

  • Have access to the Internet, phone, and Microsoft Word and Excel.
